Nextdoor Ads
I led the UX content designs when Nextdoor pivoted from offering the Neighborhood Sponsorships product made for real estate agents to working on a local ads product for all types of local businesses.
Our challenge was to create an ads platform that could be used by novice ad buyers as well as experienced marketers. Because this needed to be a one size fits all ads product, we needed to hide CPM and ad bidding system complexities behind a simple, easy to use interface where we made most of those decisions for customers on the backend.
After doing voice of customer work with our research and customer operations teams, my product designer and I boiled down the ad buying process to five, simple steps.
Together, we collaborated to design Nextdoor Ads for local businesses.
